Forward moving
Are you
moving forward and making progress in the goals you set yourself?
Or have you
stumbled, unable to move any further?
So what is
holding you back? What is preventing you from going on?
Something in
the past... perhaps something you are trying to move away from.
Empower yourself
So what do
you want?
What do you
really want to happen?
Be fitter?
....Healthier?Stress free?....Less anxious?...
What do you
want?
Just think
about what you really want?
See
it...hear it...feel it ... consider it....
There’s only
one person who can answer that.
That’s YOU!
Believe in a positive outcome
Believe it!
Believe you
can do it.
Just make a
picture or a film in your mind of what it is you want to achieve.
See yourself
in the picture and see the belief you have. See yourself achieving what you set
out to do. Now step into the film. Be the you in that film. See things with
your own eyes. Hear the praise and support. Feel that sense of achievement,
like a warm glow all through your body.
Reflect on your successes past and
present.
Just think
about and recall all the successes you have had in the past and those you are
having now. As you recall those successes what do you see? What do you feel?
What are you thinking? What did you do to be successful? So what’s stopping you
being successful once more?
Reflect once
again on your successes and consider what lessons there are to be learned from
them. Then apply them again.
Unscramble and disengage with the
negatives
Unscramble
and then disengage with your critical inner voice. Just listen more closely to
your subconscious. Just ask the question or identify the problem and then just
let your subconscious come up with the possibilities. You will be surprised by
the results.
Anchor your successes
As you think
now of the successes in your life just imagine a large hoop in your hand. Just
imagine placing that hoop on the ground and as you think of each success or
strength just imagine stepping into the hoop to experience it once again. When
you feel that experience at its strongest just imagine stepping out of the hoop
and taking all that experience and sensations with you into now. Just keep doing
it for each success or strength which you call to mind.
Reframe your emotions, beliefs,
thinking and behaviour
Just reframe
and reorganise the way you feel, believe, think or respond in your present
situation or circumstances. Begin to turn the negatives into positives. Just
imagine being in a room with two chairs, one chair for you to sit on and one
for the other you. Just imagine talking to your other self. Explain to the
other you what the issue is. Then move to the other chair, listen to what has
been said and respond in a positive manner using positive language. After you
have responded positively to your first self, reflect on what has been said.
You can think it! You can feel it! You can believe it! You can do it.
You can do it!
That’s it.
YOU CAN DO
IT!
February –
the month once regarded by the ancient Romans as the time to purify or clean.
Clean up
yourself by replacing old negative habits, old thinking, old unhelpful emotions
or old negative responses with new positive habits, thinking, emotions and
responses.
Shrove
Tuesday – begin to change old unhelpful ways.
Lent - let
it be a time of reflection, recognition and positive change through giving up
old unhelpful patterns.
St.
Valentine’s Day - love yourself by giving yourself a little you time each day.
